
I don’t think Canadian music has ever been quite as madly received here in the UK as it is at present. Theoretically you could put on a festival with literally only Canadian acts right now and it’d probably be a massive seller.
And if you did that, Toronto trio Metz would no doubt headline the equivalent new bands stage. They’re featured in this week’s magazine and ‘Wet Blanket’ – the track above – is taken from their forthcoming self-titled debut (out in the UK on October 15 via Sub Pop). It’s a blistering shoutalong future-punk classic.
