Apparently, if you want to eat a piece of ham off Padma Lakshmi’s body, the going rate is $ 1,000.
That number was established Monday night in Washington, D.C., at the Capital Food Fight‘s event benefiting the charity DC Central Kitchen, where she allowed a stranger who’d donated said amount to nibble a piece of Ibérico ham off her collarbone.
Unfortunately for Padma admirers, we doubt she’ll be making a habit of such shenanigans. It is for charity, though. What say you, Padma?
