Jason Mraz: Global Warming Is No Longer a Future Problem, It’s a Now Event

This past February, 2012, on the day after the Superbowl, I achieved enlightenment on a flight from Ushuaia Argentina, the southernmost city in the world, headed back to The United States. It wasn't the first time I'd achieved such a glorious and all encompassing perspective; that moment where you think and figure less, and simply just are. a being. being; experiencing your interconnectedness to all things; realising what you are is only that you are. and in that; everything. The first … [Read more...]

Watch A-Trak’s New Official Video From MSG [BONUS MIX]

As some of you may or may not know, A-Trak (founder of Fool's Gold records and one half of the DJ duo Duck Sauce) opened for the Swedish House Mafia blowout of Madison Square Garden. I've already shown you where to get the full set (sorry, the video expired but the mp3 still should work) of the SHM, but I had yet to see what A-Trak's performance looked like. Does Taylor Swift Have A Tattoo?!

We were flipping through gorgeous photos of Taylor Swift from her recent Madison Square Garden concert in NYC when we spotted a GIANT word tattoo down her arm! Take a close look at the photo below: We hear it's temporary -- and, apparently, she writes song lyrics down her arm for every show. Who knew? This particular lyric ("Bring on all the pretenders. One day we will be remembered.") is from the song "Long Live" off of "Speak Now," her most recent album. What do you guys think of this TSwift … [Read more...]

You Are Now Listening to AraabMuzik

Posted by Scott Willats   How does a kid from Providence, Rhode Island turn into one of the most diverse producers in the music business? Practice, practice and more practice. At the age of three, Abraham Orellana was already learning the drums. This middle child was born with an inner rhythm, and to this day it’s evident in his music. By age 10, he was learning to play the keyboard and producing his own music. It was good stuff — but something was missing. Fast forward to 2006, when … [Read more...]

Why I Won’t Follow The Casey Anthony Trial

I admit I know virtually nothing about the trial of Casey Anthony, who is accused of killing her almost three-year-old toddler, Caylee. I find the media and the public’s obsessive preoccupation with this murder trial to be morbid, just as it was with the 1996 Jon Benet Ramsey murder case. But, most of all, I just find it—put it politely— selective. Virtually every month in New York City a young child is murdered either by his or her mother or the mother’s boyfriend or the adult … [Read more...]
